There's no doubt that our teens have been through a lot over the past couple of years and there's high demand for a mood-improvement class like this; especially one that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. We see yoga classes everywhere, but they're mostly catered to the older population. This class is cultivated for teenagers, taught by an experienced instructor who understands their specific needs.
Teens need an affordable, convenient, and designated time and place to allow their minds to be cleared from the stress of experiencing the teen years. Yoga practiced in the home or at school just isn't going to offer the benefits that our recreation center can.
Regardless of experience, body type, or athletic ability, this class focuses on better breathing, core, stretching, and balance practices.
And don't worry - this is a drop-in class that has no monthly or annual commitments.
Parents of participating students are welcome to attend class but should understand that the class is not focused on adults.
