Where History Meets Confidence... One Bout at a Time.

What if your child's next homeschool enrichment activity could improve coordination, build confidence, sharpen decision-making, and become the highlight of their week?

Welcome to Homeschool Fencing at Buckwalter Recreation Center.

Designed specifically for homeschool students, this engaging program introduces children to one of the world's oldest and most respected sports in a fun, supportive, and beginner-friendly environment. No previous fencing experience is required—just a willingness to learn something exciting.

More Than Swordplay

Fencing challenges both the body and the mind.

Students learn:

⚔️ Proper footwork and movement

⚔️ Fundamental blade techniques

⚔️ Safety skills and equipment use

⚔️ Offensive and defensive strategy

As students practice, they'll also develop:

  • Better balance and coordination

  • Faster decision-making skills

  • Increased focus and concentration

  • Self-confidence

  • Sportsmanship and respect

  • Discipline under pressure

These are skills that extend far beyond the fencing strip.

Designed for Homeschool Families

Finding activities that combine physical education, social interaction, and meaningful skill development isn't always easy. Homeschool Fencing offers all three.

Students enjoy learning alongside peers in an encouraging environment where every lesson builds on the last and every participant progresses at their own pace.
